Dr. Mark Honce graduated Magna Cum Lauda from the prestigious Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California in 2001 after having been awarded the Southern California Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics as well as being elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society. He has subsequently been educated in surgical implant dentistry from the Misch Implant Institute and holds Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Honce has successfully placed and restored hundreds of dental implants on patients. As well, he is a leading provider of Alloderm based Tissue Grafts in Canada.

The Magathan Dental Centre is synonymous with dental work with sedation or general anesthesia. We are a fully accredited dental surgical facility which we received after a process of accreditation by the Alberta Dental Association and College and the Ministry of Health. The result is that we are a licensed clinic to have any form of sedation, including general anesthesia. All services are provided by a general dentist qualified to administer general anesthesia.

We are dedicated to those who suffer mild to severe, even debilitating, dental phobia. That means expert sedation techniques together with the understanding and support necessary in building trusting relationships.

Each of our doctors have over 20 years of experience helping people with state of the art cosmetic dentistry, including whitening techniques, porcelain veneers, white fillings, bonding, orthodontics and implants.

 

Our Dentists

Dr. Greg Jansen, Dr. Edwin Mueller, and Dr. Martin Long

Dr. Martin Long and Dr. Edwin Mueller were classmates in dental school at the University of Alberta, and they have been close friends since then. They joined their forces and skills together in 1987 to develop the St. Albert Dental Centre.

They shared a vision of a family practice dedicated to providing gentle, state-of-the-art dentistry.

Dr. Martin Long is an avid golfer, and is still hoping the NHL scouts will catch his play on Friday afternoon dental hockey. He loves to spend his spare time with his wife and two daughters.

Dr. Edwin Mueller enjoys running, skiing, and travelling with his wife and three sons. He is also a Mac computer addict.

Dr. Greg Jansen graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, moved to St. Albert over 20 years ago, and has been friends of both doctors since then. He has recently joined the practice with the same philosophy of excellence and thoughtful attention and care to each patient .

Dr. Jansen is active in sports such as hockey and golf and spends time at his cabin with his wife and three children.

With over 60 years of combined clinical experience, Dr. Long, Mueller, and Jansen continue to strive for state-of-the-art treatment by attending numerous dental conferences and continuing education seminars each year.
