About Connect the Doc

Connect the Doc is a service that allows patients to search and book appointments online with dentists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, optometrists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals. At the moment Connect the Doc is available to patients, healthcare professionals, and clinics in Greater Vancouver, and we’ll be expanding to serve the rest of Canada.

Our Mission

Our mission is to use our expertise as marketers to create and maintain an online platform that easily connects private healthcare professionals and patients.

Our Beginning

In May 2010, Nadeem Kassam was getting ready to attend his graduation ceremony when he learned that his dad (a dentist) would have to miss it because of an emergency treatment for a patient. Unfortunately, Dr. Kassam couldn’t find another dentist to fill in for him on such short notice. This event inspired Nadeem to look for a solution that would help healthcare professionals like his dad juggle appointments on short notice.

How It Works

• For Patients
  1. Search: Find an appointment time with a healthcare professional that works for you. Compare doctors and clinics by browsing their profiles
  2. Book Online: Sign-in to your account or sign-up in less than 60 seconds. Click on your desired appointment time to book online.
  3. Confirm the Appointment: Enter the 4-digit code sent via text message into the confirmation field to validate the booking.
  4. Manage your Appointments and get a Reminder: Sign-in and manage your recently booked appointments. We will send you a reminder 48 hours in advance so that you can cancel your appointment if necessary.
• For Doctors
  1. Sign Up: Once you complete the Doctor sign-up form, we will verify your information and activate your account. We can only accept healthcare professionals that are certified in their fields. Sign up now!
  2. Personalize your Profile: Upload pictures and customize your profile. Help prospective patients understand your work and how you approach healthcare.
  3. Connect to your Clinic: Connect to the clinic(s) you work at so that patients can book directly online with you.
  4. Get Found Online: Your Connect the Doc profile will appear in our search results and can be ‘liked’ by our users on Facebook.
• For Clinics
  1. Sign Up: Complete the Clinic sign-up form. We will provide you with a detailed online evaluation and discuss our services with you.
  2. Choose the Right Service Package: An Account Executive will work with you to select the service package that best suits your clinic’s size and budget.
  3. Personalize your Clinic’s Profile: Add basic information about your clinic and services offered. Upload photos and share testimonials to give prospective patients an idea of what your clinic is all about.
  4. Connect to your Staff and Manage Their Schedules: Easily connect to your staff members’ accounts to manage their schedules online. Eliminate unwanted gaps in their schedule by releasing hard-to-fill slots online.
