Dr. Corbett is co owner of Smiles Specialty Centre, located here in Brandon, Manitoba. Dr. Corbett and our team of hygienists deliver comprehensive periodontal treatment to the Brandon and Westman area. Part of our commitment to serving our patients includes providing information that helps them make informed decisions about their oral health. Dr. Trudy L. Corbett
Dr. Trudy L. Corbett was born and raised in Sussex, New Brunswick. Upon graduation from high school, she spent two years studying at McGill University following which she attended the University of Western Ontario where she obtained her dental degree. Dr. Corbett practiced general dentistry in British Columbia for two years before returning to school at the University of Manitoba for her specialty training in periodontics. She has been practicing as a Certified Specialist in Periodontics since 1996.
Dr. Corbett opened her full time periodontal practice in Brandon, Manitoba in 1998. On July 2, 2008, she and Dr. Bales opened Smiles Specialty Centre, a state of the art Specialty Clinic which offers specialized periodontic and orthodontic services under one roof.
Dr. Corbett believes in the importance of community. She has been a board member with the Brandon & District United Way for 6 years and she regularly provides continuing education opportunities for dentists and hygienists in southwestern Manitoba.
Dr. Corbett enjoys providing periodontal services to the people throughout southwestern Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan. Her focus has been, and will continue to be, service excellence. In May 2006, she was the recipient of the 2006 Manitoba Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Excellence in Service.
With the opening of Smiles Specialty Centre, Dr. Corbett, as co-owner, looks forward to being able to continue to provide her patients with service excellence in a friendly, welcoming environment. In 2009, she was awarded the Brandon Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award.
