Enamel Dental Centre

Who We Are

Penticton dentists, Sylvain Marino, DDS and James Jung, DDS welcome you to the website of Enamel Dental Centre. Our entire staff of experienced dental professionals invites you to learn more about dentistry and we hope your visit today is the first step you take toward achieving your best oral health.

Finding the right Penticton dentist for you is important. You should search for someone you trust, who listens to your concerns and develops a treatment plan to help you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile. Rather than highlight the qualifications you’ll likely find at any other Penticton dentist, we would like to highlight what makes us different, and let you decide if we’re the best Penticton dentist for you.

How are we Different?

At our Penticton family dental centre, we believe everyone deserves a healthy, attractive smile and the confidence that comes with it. To help you achieve your best smile, we’ve built our practice around giving you a comfortable dental experience, working efficiently with your time in mind, and producing excellent results.

One Location for Nearly all of your Dental Needs

Penticton dentists, Drs. Marino and Jung understand that your life is busy. Between work and family you have many obligations pulling you in many directions. We developed our Penticton family dental centre with this concept in mind. Rather than send you to many different locations for your dental needs, we have trained hard to be able to provide you and your family with service for almost any treatment or procedure. From simple family dentistry procedures to complex Penticton dental implant cases, save yourself the time and headache and make us your “dental home.”

We try our best to ensure all your dental needs are met within our office for greater consistency of your treatment with the same doctor. This allows us to provide you and your family with results that we know meet our expectations of quality.

You’re Always a VIP at Enamel Dental Centre

If you’ve chosen us as your Penticton dentist, we sincerely appreciate your trust. Throughout the years, we’ve developed a position at our family dental centre specifically to show you our appreciation and to treat you like the VIP you are. At Enamel Dental Center we assign a treatment coordinator to every new patient. Our treatment coordinator will:

  • conduct full review of your medical history
  • take a full-mouth set of digital X-rays
  • perform a high-tech bite analysis to determine where force is applied in your bite
  • conduct a TMD (temporomandibular disorder) screening
  • conduct an oral cancer screening
  • conduct a soft tissue exam
  • coordinate with your dental insurance and provide you with a breakdown of coverage
  • prioritize your treatment from urgent to elective

Supercharge your Healing with Platelet-Rich Fibrin

Our Penticton family dental centre is one of a very few dental offices that uses platelet-rich fibrin to help your body heal safely and more efficiently. Our Penticton dentists can use platelet-rich fibrin any time there is an open wound or an extraction site to supercharge your healing time and reduce the amount of pills you take to dull the pain.

To complete this procedure, your Penticton dentist will draw a small amount of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge, extract the materials and apply it to a platelet-rich bandage. The entire process takes about 12 minutes and uses your body’s own material to facilitate the healing process.

Platelet-rich fibrin drastically reduces the time it takes your body to heal and reduces post-op inflammation and pain. This process has been used in the past to help diabetics heal faster and also in several types of surgery. We’ve been using this process for the past few years and have had great success with it.

Who We Are

All that is good begins with a SMILE – and we create perfect smiles every day.

When you visit our office in KELOWNA, your smile is our top priority. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, gentle care that you deserve.

Part of our commitment to serving our patients includes providing information that helps them to make more informed decisions about their oral health needs. This website is a resource we hope you’ll find both useful and interesting.

We at Apple Dental are committed to providing the most current and proven dental services in a gentle and caring manor.

Dr. Smith will call each and every patient who receives anesthetic that evening to ensure that their recovery is comfortable and uneventful. We care about and treat each patient as family. All staff members are honestly kind, caring, gentle and empathetic to our patients’ needs and treatment. Your overall well-being is our desire; not just your dental needs.

As many general body symptoms and disease show their first early signs in the mouth, we recommend a complete and comprehensive examination. Your teeth are the last thing that we examine and evaluate. Your general well-being is noted following a comprehensive medical Questionnaire. We examine lymph nodes of the head and neck and evaluate intra-oral soft tissue and the throat. The tongue is examined. Your TMJ is checked. Teeth are checked for alignment, occlusion, mobility, decalcification, decay, wear, cracks and existing restorations. Defects are noted. Impacted teeth are recorded. Periodontal condition is noted and pocket depth, recession and bone defects are recorded. The general Intra-oral cancer check is provided.

We are a Preferred Provider for Invisalign Orthodontics and not only do we offer Invisalign, but many of our staff have received this treatment at Apple Dental and can give you first hand advice.

Prevention is our primary emphasis. We know that regular check ups and cleanings are important to maintaining oral health and provide for a comfortable and less expensive alternative to major treatment. We look forward to serving your dental needs in a gentle and caring atmosphere.

Who We Are

We are a dental practice devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles!

High Standards

A standard of excellence in personalized dental care enables us to provide the quality dental services our patients deserve. We provide comprehensive treatment planning and use restorative and cosmetic dentistry to achieve your optimal dental health. Should a dental emergency occur, we make every effort to see and care for you as soon as possible.

Education & Prevention

As a practice, we are true believers that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.

Uncompromising Safety

Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), Capital Health Canada, and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Training & Expertise

As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

A Positive Experience

Building a foundation of trust by treating our patients as special individuals is vital to our success. We understand how uneasy some patients may feel about their dental visits, and how we can make a difference in providing a relaxing and positive experience. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with excellent, personalized care and service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

We thank you for allowing us to take care of your dental needs and look forward to serving you.

Make an appointment today…..we’ll give you a reason to smile!
